Privacy, in plain words.
Pulse PC reads your PC to help you, and keeps those readings on your PC. This page lists exactly what reaches our account service. Last updated 16 October 2026.
What stays on your PC
Hardware details, sensor readings and history, drive and battery health, the PC timeline, installed apps and drivers, startup items, measurements, cleanup lists and Restore history are read and stored only on your PC. They are not uploaded. You can clear sensor history in the app at any time, and uninstalling Pulse PC removes them.
Window Link connects two PCs on your local network directly. Shared windows are not sent through our servers.
What your account stores
- Account: your email address, display name and a salted password hash. We never see or store your password itself.
- Sign-ins: a session record for each signed-in PC or browser, with a random device ID and an expiry date.
- Licenses and PCs: the licenses on your account and which device IDs use a license slot.
- Free trial: when the trial starts, a one-way fingerprint of your Windows installation (a SHA-256 hash, not your hardware serials) so the trial is used once per PC.
- Security log: events such as “signed in”, “password changed” and “PC added”, with the time.
- Messages you send us through the contact form.
Optional error reports
Off by default. If you turn on “Send anonymous error reports” in Settings, Pulse PC sends the error type, message and code location when something fails. Your Windows user name is removed first, and reports are not linked to your account. They are deleted after 90 days.
The website
The website sets one cookie, __Host-pulse_session, only when you sign in to the dashboard. It keeps you signed in for up to 7 days. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and no third-party scripts.
Your IP address is used briefly to limit repeated sign-in and contact attempts, then discarded. Requests to pcpulse.lol pass through Cloudflare, installer downloads are served by GitHub, and password-reset emails, when you ask for one, are delivered by an email service.
How we use it
Only to run your account: signing you in, applying your licenses, preventing abuse, answering your messages and fixing bugs. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. Sign-in sessions end when they expire or when you sign out. Error reports are deleted after 90 days. When you delete your account, your account, sessions, PCs, trial link, messages and security-log link are removed. License records stay for accounting without your email address, and the trial fingerprint stays without any link to you so the trial cannot be restarted.
Download or delete your data
Sign in to the dashboard and open Your data. You can download everything the account service holds about you as a file, or delete your account. For any other request, including corrections, use the contact form and choose “Privacy”.
